Good afternoon Brothers and sisters:
I will be sending a few flocknotes this week to help us prepare for the reopening of public worship. The first thing I need to know is how many parishioners are not yet ready to attend Mass at church?
Those 65 or older or have pre-existing conditions;
If you have a temperature or are not feeling well, coughing, sneezing, etc.
Or just do not feel you are ready,
Stay home.
Streaming Masses will continue to at least June 28.
The capacity for each Sunday Mass is 100 people per Mass and weekday Masses.
Fr. Vin Sullivan will be celebrating weekday Masses all week May 25 - 29. You may attend a weekday Mass to fulfill our Sunday obligation - which is dispensed until June 28th.
The Archbishop recommends this to keep Mass attendance down.
Weekday Masses will be at 9 AM - There will be no Eucharistic adoration for the first week while we work out the logistics of cleaning and disinfecting the church after each Mass.
Hopefully, the week after Pentecost we can resume Eucharistic adoration.
There will be another note coming Friday regarding more specific details. I will be attending a webinar tomorrow at 2 pm for further information on our preparation.
We are preparing the church for safe worship.
Please reply letting us no if you are not ready. This will help us to project attendance.
Thank you for your input.
+God bless
