This powerful novena consists of nine days, beginning with Good Friday as Jesus requested, in preparation for the glorious Feast of Mercy (Divine Mercy Sunday). Each day Our Lord requests short prayers for different groups of people as directed by Jesus to St. Faustina: All mankind, especially sinners; the souls of priests and religious; all devout and faithful souls who have separated themselves from the Church; the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children; the souls who especially venerate and glorify His mercy; the souls detained in purgatory; and souls who have become lukewarm.
“I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fount of My mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever graces they need in the hardships of life and, especially, at the hour of death. On each day you will bring to My Heart a different group of souls, and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy, and I will bring all these souls into the house of My Father. You will do this in this life and in the next. I will deny nothing to any soul whom you will bring to the fount of My mercy. On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My bitter Passion, for graces for these souls.”
As Jesus requests, so we suggest that you pick up a copy of the Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet available in the vestibule, begin it on Good Friday and believe and benefit in the words that Jesus asked to be signed on the painting of Divine Mercy, “Jesus, I Trust in You”!
“For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”
